Can’t Sleep…

Well, I guess the damage from that binge was not as bad as I had expected.  At first the scale was showing pretty dissapointing numbers, but then when I got home from work this morning, it was back to about 153… and now it is at 150.5 again… so I’m going to leave my weight-loss tracker alone for the time being. I think this week I might break below 150 and start seeing those numbers consistently.

I still plan to work hard and I’ve gotta get out of that mindset that “Oh I’ve done so well I deserve an All Out Gorge-Fest.” I like doing the walking and Gazelle-ing. Sometimes I see the people working out really intensely with the weights or on the treadmill and I wish I could do all of that but I know if I beat myself up TOO much it will take everything out of me and my joints will be in so much pain it will incapacitate me to do everything else, like my job or play with my son or anything.

And hey, sometimes the miles I put in on The Gazelle are nothing to sneeze at… Saturday was my first “12 mile day”. I should really be asleep right now. It’s the middle of the day and I have until about 3pm to sleep. I wanted to get up and do four miles, then pick up my son from DayCare and then later on do four more miles after he goes to sleep at 8pm.

That’s the worst thing about Graveyard Shift. My body can never adjust right I am always running on 4 or 5 hours of sleep. Maybe tomorrow after work I will “UniSom” myself to stay asleep.

Wow, so close to being below 150 for the first time in a long time. I’m psyched.
